Technology and Computing Services
Information Technology Services (ITS) provides a wide array of services to support the teaching, learning, administration, and research endeavors of the students, faculty, and staff of the UH community. ITS works closely with other offices across the system to meet the challenging and expanding computing and communications needs of the university.
Key technology initiatives include:
- Distance education programs developed at UH reach throughout the state and worldwide, offering new models of distributed learning.
- Supercomputing facilities at the Maui High Performance Computing Center house the 11th most powerful supercomputer in the world.
- The Kuali initiative, a national program to develop new open source administrative systems for higher education.
